In Episode 7, twelve identical attempts burn through Paul’s allowance. Every message in a long conversation is re-read each turn, so bloated sessions cost more and drift more.
Keep it lean
- Share excerpts, not dumps. The function and its caller, not the whole 3,000-line file.
- One topic per session. New task, new conversation.
- Summarize and restart when a session gets long: ask for a short summary of decisions and state, then paste it into a fresh session.
- Avoid pasting huge logs. Trim to the first error and its stack trace.
Summarize this session for a fresh start: the goal, decisions made,
what we tried that failed, and the current state of the code.
Keep it under 150 words.
